Exhibition Concept｜
The title “Galácticos”—meaning “Galaxy Fleet”—draws inspiration from Real Madrid’s legendary original “Gálacticos” era: a star-studded team whose extraordinary lineup and impeccable teamwork revolutionized the world of football. It has since become a symbol of innovation and excellence.
By extending this metaphor to the Sculpture Department’s freshmen exhibition, we envision the “Galaxy Fleet” as a representation of a talented and potential-filled cohort. Each participating artist is a shining star, uniquely positioned yet collectively forming a vibrant and creative cosmos.
Through “Galácticos”, we highlight the synergy between collective creation and individual expression. We also invite the audience to consider: in the “playing field” of artistic creation, how does one balance personal style and collaborative engagement? This exhibition is both an exploration and a challenge—an attempt to redefine the boundaries of creativity and cooperation in art.
